The Kent County Road Commission says the extreme temperatures Tuesday and blowing snow are going to make roads difficult to travel.

The county saw about four to six inches of snowfall overnight and managed to get snow plowed on state roads.

But due to extremely cold temperatures, crews are applying a minimal amount of a salt and sand mixture and will be focusing on clearing snow from roadways.

The road commission says these temperatures can cause salt to make roads refreeze faster. Drivers are reminded to always reduce your speed and watch out for think ice over roadways.
