CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One man died after his vehicle drove into the back of a dump truck Monday morning.
A Kent County Sheriff's Deputy tells Fox 17 that the 33 year old was headed north on Whitneyville Ave, when he rear-ended the heavy-duty trailer. The truck was slowing to turn left onto 48th St. at the time of the crash.
First responders called in Aero-Med to the scene, but the driver who was trapped inside the mini-van died at the scene.
Investigators say the man was headed to pick up a relative before starting a home improvement project.
The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.
