Suspect arrested after repeated vandalism at Kent County courthouse

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police say they have arrested a suspect accused of vandalizing police headquarters and government buildings.

Police tell FOX 17 the incidents started last weekend when Grand Rapids police headquarters, the Kent County Courthouse & Prosecutors office were vandalized. The suspect is accused of painting the letters 'ACAB' on the courthouse with spray paint.

After reviewing video surveillance, police were able to identify a suspect.

Grand Rapids police say the suspect was arrested Wednesday morning when an officer recognized the suspect while he was in front of GRPD headquarters.

Police believe the suspect tagged the courthouse again Wednesday morning prior to his arrest.

The suspect is only being identified as a 50-year male.
