GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Chad Robert Bruining, 40, of Kentwood, has been arrested by Grand Rapids Police in the death of Todd Ryan Cappendyk, 41.
Cappendyk’s body was found after a fire at 2115 Oakwood Avenue NE on October 25. His death was quickly ruled a homicide.
Bruining faces a charge of open murder and a charge of second degree arson.
Arraignment was expected to be scheduled for Wednesday.
