Grand Rapids police searching for wallet thief

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids police are asking for tips to identify a suspect who stole a wallet from someone at a Wendy’s.

The theft happened around 4:45 p.m. Monday at the Wendy’s located at 1061 Michigan St.

Police say the suspect took a wallet from someone inside and ran away from the store.

The suspect is described as a 38- to 42-year-old man who is 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing black clothes with a hooded jacket with a “P” on the hood. Police say he is known to frequent the area of Michigan Street and Fuller Avenue.
