GRAND RAPIDS — Chief Eric Payne was honored on Tuesday for his service and dedication to the people of Grand Rapids.
He received an award from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) .
"I'm honored and humbled to be recognized by such a great organization and a wonderful group of colleagues," Payne said.
Lieutenant Terry Dixon serves as president for West Michigan chapter of the organization.
It's great for the Chief, great for the department, and great for the City," Dixon said.
