BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Fire crews responded to a structure fire in Battle Creek this afternoon.
It happened in the area of Oak Hill Drive and Willow Street, according to the Battle Creek Fire Department.
We’re told the fire was active on the second floor and that all of the occupants had vacated the building before crews arrived.
The BCFD says the fire was under control in ten minutes thanks to the firefighters’ swift response coupled with weather conditions.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities believe the fire started in a second-floor bedroom. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
