ORANGEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — State Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a man from Grand Rapids.
The 21-year-old was killed Wednesday, June 24, when he lost control of his car on Marsh Road north of Keller Road in Barry County's Orangeville Township. His Honda Accord crossed the center line and hit a GMC pick-up truck, according to a press release.
Investigators say excessive speed was a factor in the crash. Impairment from alcohol or drugs has not been ruled out.
The 76-year-old man behind the wheel of the truck and his 77-year-old passenger were hurt but are expected to survive.
