Over 90,000 have recovered from COVID-19 in Michigan

MICHIGAN — Michigan reports 90,216 recovered COVID-19 patients while 901 new cases were confirmed.

The increase of cases brings Michigan's total numbers to 121,427. Reports say there were 6,723 deaths confirmed from COVID-19 and 321 probable deaths that have not been confirmed.

To date, laboratories have tested 3,869,764 samples using diagnostic and serological testing. Serology tests serum and other body fluid, while diagnostic testing relies on results from physical exams.

Overall Oakland County leads total numbers with over 20,543 positive cases. Kent, Ottawa, Berrien, and Kalamazoo counties report between 1,877 and 20,542 confirmed cases. The rest of West Michigan show between 270 and 1876 cases. Several counties in the UP and northern Lower Peninsula (Regions 6 and 8) have less than 50 cases.
