GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — 3 workers at Irwin Seating Company in Grand Rapids have tested positive for coronavirus.

In a statement, the business confirmed to FOX 17 News about the cases Monday. Several other employees who may have been exposed have also be told to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Irwin says the employees have not been at work since before the test results.

Meanwhile, Irwin Seating is working with the Kent County Health Department to prevent the spread of the disease. Potentially affected areas have been deep cleaned and sanitized. Employees are required to undergo daily health assessments and temperature checks.

Irwin Seating says operations are continuing without any impact. The facility has been running at full capacity for the last two months, including the production of thousands of masks.

More than 400 people work at the building on Fruit Ridge Avenue.
