LANSING, Mich. — The number of positive cases of the coronavirus in Michigan has increased to 18,970.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) reported the latest numbers of cases in the coronavirus outbreak this afternoon.
There were 17,221 statewide cases yesterday afternoon.
The state says there have been 845 coronavirus deaths in Michigan. It reported 727 yesterday.
In the U.S., there are 383,256 cases, and there have been 12,021 deaths — while 20,191 people have recovered, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
