WYOMING, Mich. — A vigil was held in honor of 15-year-old Emanuel “Manny” Hernandez who was shot and killed in Wyoming on Saturday.

Flowers, pictures and messages were placed near the scene of the shooting on Prairie Parkway.

Loved ones say Manny was a loving kid who always knew how to make people laugh.

“I want him to be remembered as a person that loved everybody, no matter who you were; if he knew you, he would love you just as much as if he known you forever,” said Manny's girlfriend Ahmya Flowers.

“If Manny could say something, he would say violence isn't necessary," said Ahmya's mom Jessica Flowers. "It’s just knowing Manny -- he forgives the kid who did what he did. Manny would probably be friends with him if he could be. We all just need to pray for his family."

So far no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting and police haven't said anything about a motive.

Early investigation suggests that the incident was not random.
