Police investigate early morning store break-ins in the Grand Rapids area

GRAND RAPIDS/KENTWOOD — Police in Grand Rapids and Kentwood are investigating store break ins early Monday morning.

According to Kentwood Police, after 3:30 a.m,. officers responded to an alarm at Armory Valentine located at 3876 East Paris Avenue in Kentwood.

Officers found broken glass, but it's not clear if any items were stolen. No suspects are in custody.

Then around 4:30 a.m,, police were dispatched to Snipes Clothing Store at 2941 28th Street in Kentwood. Police say they found broken glass and clothing items appear to be stolen.

Grand Rapids police also responded to an early morning break-in at Ace Hardware on Michigan Street. Officials say they found no one inside the store and it's unclear if any items were taken.
