GRAND RAPIDS — West Michigan waking up to plenty of sunshine on this Sunday morning and starting off with chilly temperatures. We will warm up quickly in the sun and even end up a little bit warmer than yesterday. Plan on light winds mostly out of the ENE from 5 to 10 mph.
We will become a little bit warmer each and every day this week as we work towards 90 degrees by the Wednesday and Thursday time frame. This will be a dry heat as humidity stays low. We will gain a minimum amount of humidity come Wednesday and Thursday, but it will not be anything you will really notice. Just remember to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen. Most of the week our UV index will be around an 8 which means our burn time is within 15 to 25 minutes.
Plan on sunshine for much of this week as our next rain chance doesn't arrive until Friday afternoon. A cold front will start to approach and keep showers and storms in our forecast into the start of next weekend. Enjoy!
