College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving in Kalamazoo is tackling a very serious topic during the pandemic by offering their services to victims of domestic violence.

Chad Jacob and his company are passionate about their latest project.

"I've seen this with my sister, my mother," said Jacob, regarding domestic violence. "I don't want to see anybody go through that again. So personally, as the owner, I personally want to do whatever it takes to help somebody get out of that situation, where they don't have to go through that."

They want to help by donating their moving services, free of charge, to victims who want to get out of their current situation.

Here's how it works: the victim will need to contact a certified domestic violence shelter requesting a free move. The shelter will then contact College Hunks, and they will bring a truck and as many people they have available to help load it.

"So we're here, we're going to do our part to offer our services to help get somebody and relocate them to where they can be safe to where they don't feel threatened anymore," Jacob said. "And they can start to turn things around and focus on getting being safe and getting better."
