GRATTAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- One person died and at least one other was injured in a crash in the early morning hours of the Wednesday commute. The crash occurred at Lincoln Lake Avenue at 6 Mile.

The first calls went out shortly before 6 a.m. An SUV travelling on Six Mile collided with a car on Lincoln Lake Avenue.

Kent County deputies say that a driver in a 2006 Saab 97X was heading west on Six Mile Road when he didn't stop at a stop sign at Lincoln Lake.  The vehicle hit a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am heading south on Lincoln Lake by David Cliff, 58, of Greenville.  Cliff was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the Saab was taken to the hospital for injuries.

Lincoln Lake Avenue was closed north of 5 Mile Road for a few hours.  The crash is still under investigation.
