Elderly man dies after car crash in Holland

HOLLAND, Mich.– An elderly man has died after two-vehicle crash in Holland on Monday.

The crash happened about 11:15 Monday morning at the intersection of 40th Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Police say that Henry Fozkos, 87, of Holland, missed the stop sign and drove his Chevy Malibu in front of a Honda Fit, driven by a 41-year-old Holland man.  Fozkos was taken to Holland Hospital and then on to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.  He died Tuesday.

The driver of the Holland Fit was not injured.  Police say that Fozkos was not wearing a seatbelt.  Speed and alcohol are not considered to be factors in the crash.
