TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A six-year-old boy drowned over the 4th of July weekend at Crooked Lake.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office reports they were called about 4:30pm Sunday to the 1500 block of South Crooked Lake on reports of a drowning. When they arrived, the Three Rivers boy had already been found in about three feet of water and bystanders were performing CPR. The boy was taken to Bronson Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The boy has been identified as Carvell Gene Johnson of Three Rivers.
