EAST LANSING, Mich -- Pontiac Notre Dame Prep tied the game with 41 seconds left in regulation and beat Forest Hills Northern in the 8th round of penalty kicks 2-1 in the division two girls soccer state championship game Saturday at Michigan State University.
Natalie Belsito scored 5:18 into the 2nd half to give FHN at 1-0 lead. Notre Dame Prep's Payton Williams scored on a free kick in the final minute to force overtime.
Neither team scored in either 10 minute overtime period and the game went to penalty kicks.
Forest Hills Northern finishes the year 16-4-4.
