HOWELL, Mich -- Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook had ended Forest Hills Central's boys lacrosse season each of the last three years. Wednesday night it was FHC that sent Cranbrook home for the season with a 17-7 win in a division two state semifinal at Parker Middle School.
"Redemption is a good way to sum it up" senior Andrew Clay said. "I've been playing on this team for three years now and every year we've lost to Cranbrook in the finals or the semifinals so I'm proud for all the boys all the seniors, I'm just super excited right now."
Sophomore's Bryce Clay (6 goals) and Patrick English (4 goals) combined to score 10 goals in the game.
"It just feels great to get that redemption back knowing that we were the better team" FHC head coach Jake Seiler said. "We were able to finally complete that and get to where we are going right now."
Forest Hills Central (19-2) will meet East Grand Rapids (16-5) in the state championship game Saturday at 2 p.m. in Howell.
