MUSKEGON, Mich. -- One of the top high school football players in West Michigan for 2017 is off the recruiting board. Muskegon's Kalil Pimpleton announcing via Twitter on Sunday that he has committed to Virginia Tech University.
The 5-foot-7, 155-pound speedster ran for 1,091 yards and 17 touchdowns and threw for 1,180 yards and 10 more scores as a junior quarterback for the Big Reds last season, but he is expected to play wide receiver for the Hokies in college.
