CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Drivers who use 84th Street over the Thornapple River will have to use a detour beginning April 4. The bridge at that location will be closed for a couple of months for repairs, according to the Kent County Road Commission.
The main work on the bridge will be to the road bed or deck, with up to more than 3 inches of concrete to be replaced along with expansion joints.
As a detour, KCRC recommends using 68th Street between M-37/Broadmoor Avenue and Whitneyville Avenue.
Work on the bridge should be completed by June 3.
