BYRON CENTER, Mich. – The South Christian Sailors will have a new home field this coming football season.
Athletic Director Curt Copeland posted on SouthChristianSports.com Friday that beginning with the 2016 season, they will be playing home games at Davenport University.
The team has been playing their home games for years at Byron Center High School. Due to realignment in the OK conferences, the school says that they have been having issues this year scheduling home games without conflicting with Byron Center’s schedule.
Davenport University is currently building a football stadium and is launching its first season of football in the fall of 2016. The Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex is at 6201 68th Street SE.
