KALAMAZOO, Mich – The City of Kalamazoo Department of Public Services has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for people living near a portion of Westnedge Avenue following a water main break on Thursday.
The area that’s impacted by the advisory is along Westnedge Avenue from Parker Avenue to Pratt Road.

The city has emphasized that his is a precautionary boil water advisory for people living in the area, as there have not been confirmed tests showing coliform bacteria present in the water supply system.
The city advises municipal water customers in the impacted area to use bottle water for consumption, or boil tap water for 2 minutes prior to drinking use.
