WYOMING, Mich. — Two major weekend lane closures in Wyoming and Grand Rapids will be held over into Monday’s morning commute, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. The lane closures affect I-196 and 28th Street. There will also be a series of compete closures on M-21.
I-196
- Lane closures eastbound from mile 72 Chicago Drive exit to Market Avenue
- Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., July 24-27
- Lane closures westbound from Market Avenue to mile 72
- Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 12 noon, July 24-27
28th Street
- Lane closures eastbound just east of Division Avenue
- Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 3 p.m., July 24-27
M-21 Fulton Street
- Occasional 10- to 15-minute complete closures between I-96 and Spaulding Avenue
- Friday 10 p.m. to Saturday 5 a.m., July 24-25
M-44 Belding Road
- Repaving project between Myers Lake Avenue and the Ionia County line
- New westbound detour between Young Avenue and Ramsdell Drive
- All westbound traffic will be detoured north to 9 Mile Road
- Eastbound traffic remains on M-44 Belding Road
- Begin Monday, August 27, through August 7
