FREDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is hospitalized suffering burns after he was pinned under an overturned tractor that caught fire. Another man pulled the man from underneath the burning tractor in Fredonia Township.
The incident in a field in the 10000 block of 15 1/2 Mile Road in Calhoun County began as the two men, one 36 and one 47, both from Battle Creek, used the tractor to try to pull a truck out of the mud on Tuesday. The tractor flipped and pinned one of the men, then it caught fire.
The other man pulled his friend from beneath the tractor, was treated at the scene and sent via helicopter to Bronson Hospital. His condition has not been released, but the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said the man suffered burns to his arm and back.
