GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A farmers market on wheels is coming to urban neighborhoods around West Michigan. Veggie Vans, a project of the Greater Grand Rapids YMCA, are hitting the road with the aim to bring fresh produce to neighborhoods that normally don't see farmers markets. In addition, fruits and vegetables are available at discounted prices.
Veggie Vans will be rolling out to urban areas in the Grand Rapids, Ottawa County, and Muskegon this summer.
The Veggie Vans are being supplied by area farms and food projects, even bakeries.
