GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- As the weather warms, more people will be taking their pets out.

Whether it's on a walk around the neighborhood, trip to the dog park, or out to an establishment that welcomes dogs, there are some pet etiquette tips to keep in mind.
Tonya Christiansen, of Must Love Dogs in Grand Haven, lists a few.

Refresh your dog's obedience skills.

Practice commands such as "heal" in private with your dog before going into public places.

Do not let your dog jump on other people or dogs.

At restaurants with outdoor seating, do not allow your dog to visit or jump on other tables.

Do not allow your dog to excrement or urinate near any diners.

You can also learn more about a special breed of dog that is in need of a loving home. International dog rescue organization "Sight Hound Underground" rescues Podenco dogs in Spain who are often euthanized when they become too old to hunt or race.
