CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One of two major arteries to Gerald R. Ford International Airport will have lane closures for three months, beginning April 6.
36th Street will be under construction between Patterson Avenue and Kraft Avenue from April 6 through July 3, according to a daily road construction schedule issued by the Kent County Road Commission.
The artery has been a way to get to the airport from I-96 that bypassed traffic signals and heavy traffic on 28th Street. The interchange at I-96 and 36th Street was built for that reason.
