GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-Exodus Place in Grand Rapids calls itself transitional housing for men looking for a permanent home and permanent career. They will soon offer another perk that they hope will get men back on their feet faster.
Exodus Place plans to offer free haircuts to its residents, starting April 1. It has recently converted an old office into a full-time barbershop for the haircuts.
They will also offer $2 haircuts to other men in the Heartside Neighborhood, to help an even larger group. They're currently looking for at least one more licensed cosmetologist, and could also use a few more supplies, including another barber's chair.
To help donate, contact Brent Webster at 616-204-4094. For information on the haircuts, call the main number at 616-242-9130.
