ANN ARBOR, Mich -- The University of Michigan introduced Jim Harbaugh as the 20th head football coach in program history on Tuesday.

Harbaugh played for Michigan in the 1980's under legendary head coach Bo Schembechler.

"I have dreamed of coaching at Michigan since I was 9 or 10 years old, now it is time to live that dream" Harbaugh said at his introductory press conference.

Michigan suffered its third losing season in the last seven years in 2014.

Harbaugh has spent the last four season as the head coach of the NFL's San Francisco 49ers.  Prior, Harbaugh coached at Stanford and San Diego.
