PLAINWELL, Mich. — Residents are receiving calls from scammers claiming to be from Consumers Energy.
The residents are told they owe money to the utility and that Consumers will cut off their electricity if they don’t pay up, says the Plainwell Public Safety Department.
These people are not to be given money, and residents should call Consumers Energy with questions are concerns, said PPS.
