GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Molina Healthcare and Northwest Food Pantry,1223 Davis NW, have teamed up just days ahead of National Make a Difference Day by donating more than $1,000 to make hygiene kits for people in need.
Also, the first 50 people to attend the event at the pantry from 9 a.m. to Noon will get free haircuts by Douglas J/Aveda Institutestudents.
Free refreshments and beverages will also be served.
The free hygiene kits are first-come first-served basis while supplies last. The kits include everything from shampoo and toothpaste to razors and soap.
Kids will get a chance to meet the cat mascot, Cleo, too.
Make a Difference Day is officially set for Saturday, Oct. 25.
