FENNVILLE, Mich. — Fennville Public Schools were placed on lock down early Friday.
FOX 17 News was able to confirm the lockdown, but officials would not say at the time anything more on the reason.
The lock down was lifted around 9 a.m.
Later, we learned the incident was triggered when a first grader reported what was thought to be a gun. Emergency response plans were implemented, which included the lock down.
Once the initial report was deemed to be not credible, the lock down was lifted.
No further action is anticipated.
