Monica’s Gourmet Cookies: Monet of morsels offering half-off for 24 hours

Posted at 3:34 AM, Sep 09, 2014

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- I will never eat another cookie and not compare it to Monica's Gourmet Cookies, based right in West Michigan.

You can find them in places like D&W and all the way over to the east side of the state. Check out this list. Even better yet, there is a bake house right at 3668 29th Street, Kentwood, where you can grab some along with a light lunch snack.

After someone tries Monica Mitidieri's cookies for the first time, I love watching their reaction and explain to someone else, what these cookies are like. It's almost as if they are cooked with air; no signs of a cookie sheet on the bottom. These delectable treats are the same fluffy, unusual shape they were when scooped from the bowl onto the pan!

In observation of the announcement below, you can snag one dozen cookies for half off, but only for 24 hours! Call 616-977-7200, because Monica will ship, too! (Please note that she does close at 5p.m. Tuesday and the deal will be available when doors open at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until 5p.m.)

Last year, Monica set up shop inside of MoDiv, 40 Monroe Center, downtown Grand Rapids, during ArtPrize, and this year, you can grab some wonderfully crafted cookies while you take in some art. Starting Sept. 11, which is 13 days shy of the ArtPrize start of Sept. 24, Monica's pop-up shops return to the same locations: MoDiv, the Amway Grand Plaza and the Gerald R. Ford Museum.

MoDiv Hours:

Mon.-Friday: 11 a.m. to 6p.m.

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5p.m.
