GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The lane closures on I-96 that caused westbound backups last week returned Monday morning.
The Michigan Department of Transportation confirmed the renewal of the construction at the Grand River Monday morning:
- Right lane closed from the Grand River to Alpine Avenue
- Ramp to northbound US-131 *closed*
- Ramp to southbound US-131 *closed*
- Monday, August 18 at 10 a.m., through Thursday, August 21, at 3 p.m.
- Detour: Exit at Alpine Avenue, take I-96 eastbound to US-131
- Ramp to westbound I-196 *closed*
- Monday, August 18 at 10 a.m., through Thursday, August 21, at 3 p.m.
- Detour: south on US-131, exit at Ann Street, take US-131 north to I-96
