GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Drivers who found themselves stuck in backups on westbound I-96 approaching US-131 this week will breathe a sigh of relief Thursday.
All lanes were opened and all ramps were opened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
The westbound lane closure and the closure of three ramps in the I-96/US-131 interchange caused regular backups Monday through Wednesday, and drivers found themselves figuring out detours when they couldn’t get to US-131.
