Torsten Boss returns home to play against the Whitecaps

COMSTOCK PARK, Mich (July 31, 2014) -- Lowell High School graduate Torsten Boss has returned to West Michigan as a member of the Lake County Captains to play against the Whitecaps at Fifth Third Ballpark this week.

Boss did not play in the game on Tuesday, Wednesday he was 0-for-3 with a walk in a 3-2 Captains win.

Boss, who played collegiality at Michigan State, was drafted by the Orioles in 2012 and traded to the Indians earlier this season. He was just activated from the disabled list prior to the series in West Michigan, he had been battling a calf injury but said he feels good now.

Boss is hitting .188 in 96 at bats with Lake County this season, he does have 4 home runs and said the area he is most hoping to improve on is hitting.

Boss has played many positions as a professional, starting out at third base, then moving to second base and now playing the outfield. Boss was the designated hitter in Wednesday's game. The final game of the three game set is Thursday night at 7 P.M.
