COMSTOCK PARK, Mich (July 19, 2014) -- Trevor Gretzky, the son of former NHL great Wayne Gretzky, is visiting West Michigan and playing against the West Michigan Whitecaps as a member of the Burlington Bees.
Gretzky was not in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Whitecaps.
Trevor Gretzky was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 7th round of the MLB draft in 2011 and traded this past off-season to the Los Angeles Angels.
Gretzky is currently hitting .156 in 19 games since his call up to the Bees earlier this season.
Trevor says that choosing baseball was an easy decision for him because growing up in Southern California there were no ice rinks close by and all his friends were playing football and baseball.
