Cooler Temps On The Way By Mid-Week

WEST MICHIGAN (July 6, 2014) — While this may be the month of July…typically one of the hottest on record for us, we have yet to hit our first 90 degree reading this year! That said, temperatures are expected to cool a bit in to the mid/upper 70s by mid-week.

There will be a chance for some showers and thunderstorms Sunday night and again on Tuesday, but most of the remainder of the week looks dry. Our forecast models are showing an upper level trough over the Great Lakes for part of the week. How does that affect us? It allows slightly cooler air to filter in from Canada and knock our daytime high temperatures down just a bit. It also means that we can expect very little humidity and moisture in the air too!

After this next seven-day forecast period, we’ll already by in the middle part of July. Summer sure is moving along at a pretty steady clip. Perhaps we’ll hit that 90 yet!
