STURGIS, Mich. (June 28, 2014) — The mother of Lily Strang, an adorable, spunky girl featured on FOX17, who was born with Fanconi Anemia, causing her to not have thumbs and later diagnosed with Leukemia, is now paying it forward to another Michigan family in need. Furr knows all too well how physically, emotionally and financially draining this can all be.
Erin Furr is holding a bake sale during Sturgis Sidewalk Days, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28 to help 2 year-old “Princess” Ava Weiderman of Centerville. The toddler was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). A website for Lily, 1000 Cranes for Lily says that little Ava will have 2 years of chemo treatments and have to travel 45 minutes to the hospital.
Stop by the bake sale, give what you can and say hello to Lily and her mom.
