GRANDVILLE, Mich. (March 29, 2014) — A new family footwear retailer will be holding a grand opening today. The Shoe Carnival will be having prizes and giveaways starting at 9 a.m. It’s located in the BuckTown Shopping Center on Ivanrest and 44th Street. Familiar stores in this area are Target and Ulta.
So, how great are those giveaways at The Shoe Carnival? Well, doors open at 9 a.m. and the first 100 people in line get a $10 Rewards Card. Also, at 10a.m. one lucky shopper will win free shoes for a year followed by a $1,000 cash giveaway courtesy of Crocs at 11a.m.
In Portage, a new Sears Outlet will be celebrating by offering some fun for shoppers through Sunday, March 30. Located at 669 Mall Drive, the outlet offers some new items but many are also reconditioned. You can enjoy 10 percent off through Sunday. Also in Montcalm County, The Blue Star Mothers Chapter, MI-188 is sponsoring a “Spring Fling” Women’s Bazaar . All of this gets under way at 9 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. at the Lakeview VFW Hough-Pontius Post #3701, 8968 N. Greenville Rd. Admission to the event is free, but donations of bagged Easter candy would be greatly appreciated so that it can be sent to the men and women serving in Afghanistan. If you bring a bag of candy, you will receive a ticket for a door prize that will be drawn at 2:30 p.m.
