GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (March 6, 2014) — FOX17 Morning News discusses the details of this weekend’s ‘Soup and Slider Fest’ in Grand Haven.
The Grand Haven VFW is hosting their 5th Annual Soup and Slider Festival and contest March 8, 2014 at the Grand Haven VFW located at 20 N. First Street in downtown Grand Haven. Several vendors will compete for Best Soup and Slider and People’s Choice for Best Soup and Slider.
Event rundown:
Open to the public
Admission is free
9:00 a.m. – Bar open to the public and serving $2.00 Bloody Marys until 11:00 a.m.
Michigan craft beer, domestics, and mixed drinks served from 9:00 a.m. until end of event.
Must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Live entertainment with vendors serving their best soup and sliders
Soup $1.00 per bowl
Sliders $2.00 per slider
50/50 raffle during the day
Judges vote for Best Soup and Slider along with public voting for People’s Choice.Trophies presentation
All proceeds to benefit veterans and veterans programs
