Michigan Routed By Iowa, Fall Out Of Big Ten Lead

IOWA CITY, Iowa (February 8, 2014) — Nik Stauskas was held to just 10 points and Southfield native Devyn Marble scored 22 of his 26 in the first half as 17th-ranked Iowa ran past 10th-ranked Michigan 85-67 on Saturday.

It’s the Wolverines’ worst defeat since a 23-point loss at Michigan State last February.

Michigan (17-6, 9-2) now falls a half-game behind Michigan State for first place in the Big Ten. The ninth-ranked Spartans are at Wisconsin on Sunday.

Caris LaVert led the Wolverines Saturday with 22 points. Zak Irvin added 19 off the bench.
