JENISON, Mich. — A black bear was reportedly spotted by several people Thursday near Wallinwood Springs Golf Club, 8152 Weatherwax Dr.
Several witnesses called the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department at approximately 3 p.m. saying they spotted the bear.
The Facebook page of the Georgetown Charter Township sent out the following message:
“Please be cautious, the township has had several reports of a Black Bear Sighting in the Wallinwood Springs area. Do not feed or approach.”
Deputies told FOX 17 that they are not attempting to locate the bear. DNR officials said they had no plans to track the animal, either.
