Two People Shot at Grand Rapids Birthday Party

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Shots rang out at a birthday party, striking two people around midnight Sunday on Grand Rapids southeast side, according to police.

Roughly 40 people were gathered on Underwood Ave SE, when the gun fire occurred, striking a 17 year-old female and a 20 year-old male, who were walking nearby, officers said. Both of the victims are expected to be okay. Shell casings from two guns were recovered, police stated, but no suspects were in custody.
