Manistee H.S. Prepares To Host Funeral For Fallen Trooper

MANISTEE, Mich., — Students and faculty at Manistee High School spent time cleaning the school Friday, as final preparations were made to hold the funeral of fallen Michigan State Trooper Paul Butterfield there.

Butterfield, 43, was shot and killed in the line of duty on Monday evening in Mason County. Two suspects, Eric and Sarah Knysz, are currently behind bars, facing charges in connection with his death.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14th at Manistee High School starting at 10 a.m. The funeral is set to follow at 1 p.m.
