PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A six-car crash during the Tuesday morning commute led to the shutdown of southbound US-131 at Post Drive around 8:15 a.m.
AeroMed was called in, and the helicopter was expected to land on the southbound lanes.
All traffic was directed off the expressway to Post Drive and back onto southbound US-131 using the Post Drive entrance ramp.
The crash took place during a backup that stretched from a lane closure at Ann Street back to 10 Mile in Rockford.
