WALKER, Mich. — Drivers in the morning usually don’t encounter traffic jams on northbound US-131, because the main commuter traffic is headed southbound.
Not so Tuesday morning.
A traffic jam that stretched back past Leonard Street delayed drivers due to a three-vehicle chain reaction crash on the ramp from northbound US-131 to westbound I-96.
The left lane was blocked beginning around 7:30 a.m. Minor injuries were involved, said Michigan State Police.
Northbound traffic headed past I-96 on the right was unaffected. The crash was cleared by 8 a.m.
