TRUFANT, Mich.- The tiny Village of Trufant, nestled in Montcalm County, will draw thousands Labor Day Weekend, as the place known as the “Stump Fence Capital of the World” and for its large flea market, draws thousands.
The Jubilee Royalty Pageant kicks things off at 7p.m. on Thursday. On Friday, come fill your bellies with a delicious Swiss Steak Dinner benefiting the Masonic from 3:30 p.m. to 7p.m. at the community center and then head out to the Kiddie Parade at 7p.m. followed by the Firemen’s Parade. Fireworks will light up the sky roughly around 10p.m.
On Saturday, a delicious Danish breakfast of aebelskivers, round balls made with batter similar to waffles, will be served from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the community center. The Jubilee Gran Parade will take place at 1p.m. followed by another family favorite, Kiddie Tractor Pulls from 3 p.m. to 5p.m.
You’ll need to work off the calories from all of the delicious Jubilee food, so come take part in the 5K Race/Walk on Sunday. The registration will take place near the flea market around 8:30 a.m. There will be a Car & Bike Show from 9a.m. to 2:30 p.m. along with a Soap Box Derby at Noon.
